Did anybody catch this? It was actually pretty funny, if you don't mind a semi "reality" show on Sci-Fi.

Re: Who Wants to Be a Superhero
Fri, July 28, 2006 - 4:58 PMI admit to kinda wanting to see this, but forgot to catch it last night. Will have to look for replays this week.

Re: Who Wants to Be a Superhero
Fri, July 28, 2006 - 6:30 PMI saw it....it was very amusing to say the least...much more amusing than normal "reality" television...

Re: Who Wants to Be a Superhero
Sat, July 29, 2006 - 10:40 AMI thought I was going to hate it. Thought it would be nothing bu making fun of comic book fans. But I was really impressed with the first test. It showed me that the show really understood what superheroes are about. I guess they should with Stan Lee on board. -

Re: Who Wants to Be a Superhero
Sat, July 29, 2006 - 12:28 PMAnd what's with Stan Lee making all those DC comics references? Wouldn't he be more inclined to give his own comic book company free publicity?

Re: Who Wants to Be a Superhero
Sat, July 29, 2006 - 2:33 PMAh yes, but you see, DC RULES! Stan even made an apperance in the Superman documentary Look up in the Sky. Seriously though, if you want to make iconic references to lairs or changing clothes are you going to site Batman and Superman or Doctor Strange and Iron Man? Not sure how closely Stan works with Marvel these days. They may have pissed him off over his cut of the Spider-Man movies.

Re: Who Wants to Be a Superhero
Fri, August 4, 2006 - 2:22 PMI had it on my dvr and finally saw the debut the other night. I agree this show is a riot. These people are real characters. I like just before commercials when they draw the scene as a comic. very cool. -

Re: Who Wants to Be a Superhero
Sat, August 5, 2006 - 12:10 PMSo how about that Iron Enforcer becoming the Dark Enforcer?
-

Re: Who Wants to Be a Superhero
Sat, August 5, 2006 - 12:22 PMI said during the first episode that if you eliminate a guy like that too quickly he's likely to turn into a super villain. -
-
Re: Who Wants to Be a Superhero
Sat, August 5, 2006 - 2:08 PMI liked it. Great move.
Overall, I liked most of the costume upgrades too. Tyveculus was stupid for not saying something sooner and kowtowing to Stan. I couldn't believe anyone wanting to be a super hero would accept a look downgrade like that. -
-
Re: Who Wants to Be a Superhero
Sat, August 5, 2006 - 3:13 PMI don't know if Tyvaculus bought his costume somewhere, but it was one of the better homemade ones. His original helmet and shoulderpads were definately better than the makeover ones. I don't know why he said he liked it when even Stan seemed unsure about it. -

Re: Who Wants to Be a Superhero
Sun, August 6, 2006 - 7:02 PMThat seemed like to the perfect window for him to say "These poofy shoulder pads are gay Stan."

Tue, August 8, 2006 - 10:13 AMMy son and I were not happy when Iron Enforcer got elimnated, but then when he became Dark Enforcer we were COOL!!!. We agree he makes a better Villian. The show is getting fun to watch. It is a good corney change to reality TV. -

Re: Who Wants to Be a Superhero
Tue, September 5, 2006 - 3:00 PMSO, who saw the season finale? I actually watched the whole thing, and found it to be quite funny. Loved the finale and watching the feedback and fat momma doing fake puches and jumps. Cracked me up! -

Wed, September 6, 2006 - 6:53 AMThough I do think Feedback deserved to win, I would've also liked it if Fat Mama had won too.

Thu, September 7, 2006 - 12:18 PMI like Major Victory. He was so over the top. He just couldn't keep that cape on. Old habits must be hard to break LOL. -
-
Re: Who Wants to Be a Superhero
Thu, September 7, 2006 - 1:08 PMI was pullin for Tyveculus. After that, Major Victory. I did like the choice of Feedback over Fat Momma. Fat Momma was great until the final challenge at the stunt school. Feedback kinda guaranteed his win during that challenge.
